Performance Opportunities For Students

Performance opportunities allow students to work with professional dancers and guest choreographers in high quality productions. Such unique experiences add a depth to dance education usually only experienced in professional companies.

Procedures for Performance Participation:
A performance fee and signed participation form is required of all participants and must be received prior to casting deadlines. All dancers must attend all studio and theater rehearsals.

Family Participation:
Dancers' families are required to aid in productions. The minimum hours per performance required of each participant family may vary according to the scheduled performance. Production opportunities include costumes, dancer supervision, load-in, props, boutique staffing and sales and many other essential projects.

Any family unable to fulfill production requirements will be assessed a fee. The amount of the fee required will vary according to the scheduled performance.

Special Performances:
In recent years, Western Ballet has presented excerpts from its Nutcracker on site at Stanford Hospital. Last year our dancers brought holiday cheer to over 300 patients, familes and staff.

Our advanced dancers present studio performances for a local convalescent home, featuring excerpts from our repertoire.
