Procedures, Dress Code & Etiquette for Open Classes
Getting Started/Taking Class
You may register and pay
for classes online or in person at our studios at any time. Registration forms are located online, in the lobby,
and on the clipboards in the studios. Online payment for classes using PayPal is convenient and
easy. You may also pay with cash, check, or credit card at Western
Ballet.
Check-in
Procedure for Classes
All students must sign
in on the class roster that is on the clipboard in each studio. Please sign in prior to class or at the
break between barre and center.
- If
you have paid in advance for classes using one of our payment discounts, simply sign in on the roster in the studio and circle
advanced pay on the roster.
- If you are paying in
the studio, sign in on the roster in the studio and then enter the
amount of your payment and form of payment (cash, check, or credit
card) and leave your payment on the clipboard. Payments
by credit card can be taken by the class monitor. For cash, please bring exact change.
- If you need assistance,
just ask the class monitor. You can
always check your balance by asking the monitor or emailing us at info@westernballet.org.
Class Monitors
There are
designated class monitors that assist the instructor with attendance,
payments, and other administrative functions of the program. If you have any questions about the school or
classes, please see the monitor.
Dress Code & Etiquette
No body oils, lotions, or powders should
be used in the studios, hallways, or restrooms. These substances are
easily transferred to the dance floor and will cause slippery spots
No jewelry or watches
Students may wear any clean appropriate
dancewear
Clean ballet shoes are required.
Elastics should be well sewn and laces must be tucked in
Hair should be neat
and off the face, and must be well secured
Observation
Observation of open classes may be arranged with the instructor or
through the office.
